5 Things I Love About Minecraft Earth

With the situation we are going through right now, you would think that games involving going out, walking around to progress, like Minecraft Earth would be struggling to keep their players interested. But, they have found a way to keep Minecraft Earth interesting and exciting for players new and old. Here are 5 things I love about Minecraft Earth.

Number 1: Adventures: Adventures are very crucial to the game, as they can give you rare ores and other resources. But, before the outbreak, you had to go to specific locations to access them. But, the developers have found a way to allow you to experience the adventures while keeping you indoors. They added adventure crystals, and when activated, spawns an adventure where you are standing, so you don’t need to go outside of your house. Not only that, but if you find a chest inside the adventure, you will get an adventure crystal back, so you don’t need to go out to obtain more.

Number 2: Sharing Buildplates: Buildplates are what you use to show off your resources, like building an amazing redstone contraption, or building a mansion. But now, you can share your buildplates with other people, just by tapping a button. All you have to do is click the “share” button on the buildplate you want to share, pick the tools and materials you want them to have when they open the buildplate (don’t worry, everything they do is not saved, so if they blow it up, your buildplate is fine), and voila! They have access to your buildplate when they click on a link!

Number 3: Challenges: Minecraft Earth has had challenges ever since it was launched, but with a very recent update, they have added seasonal challenges, which can give you blocks, items, xp, boosts, rubies, and adventure crystals. The challenges vary in difficulty, from collecting tappables to eating a golden carrot while in an adventure. The challenges can also reward clothing for your characters, which are only obtainable by completing the seasonal challenges. Earlier I mentioned that the challenges can award boosts, but what are boosts?

Number 4: Boosts (and boost-minis): Boosts are something in Minecraft Earth that you can buy using rubies, or by scanning a boost-mini. Boosts give you perks such as increasing your radius, keeping the items in your hotbar, and so much more. You can buy them with rubies, but if you buy a boost-mini (you have to go to a store in real life to buy these), you can get a boost every 24 hours by scanning it. Boosts can really give you an advantage whether you are in an adventure, or just trying to collect tappables.

Number 5: Unique Mobs: Minecraft has a lot of mobs, but Minecraft Earth has even more mobs! It has the classic cows, sheep, and pigs you know and love, but it also had Minecraft Earth exclusive mobs, such as the wooly cow and the cluckshroom, all modified versions of mobs that exist inside of Minecraft.

Those were 5 things I love about Minecraft Earth, please feel free to comment anything else you think is pretty exciting about Earth. Anyway, I’m gonna go ahead and scan my boost-mini to prepare for my adventure!
